Dr. William L. Fisher

The AGI Congressional Geoscience Fellowship Endowment has been named in honor of Dr. William L. Fisher to commemorate his important geoscience contributions and the key role he has played in development of geo-policy decisions at the national level. Fisher has provided exceptional service to the nation, his home state of Texas, the geological profession, and the academic community. He is recognized as an outstanding geoscientist and educator who has dedicated his career to the understanding of both the economic and political realities of mineral and energy resources, and one who has provided unparalleled insights though applied geoscience research into the distribution and recovery of the nation’s oil and gas resources.

Marcus Milling Legendary Geoscientist Award

The Marcus Milling Legendary Geoscientist Award, established in 1999, joins the ranks of prestigious geoscientist awards within North America.
